About the Resize PNG

PNG resizing needs care: alpha transparency must survive and edges must stay crisp. This dedicated PNG resizer uses high-quality smoothing and re-encodes losslessly, so your logos and screenshots stay pixel-perfect.

How it works

The tool resamples your PNG with stepped downsampling and re-encodes it losslessly, so every semi-transparent pixel survives the journey. Edges stay sharp because PNG's lossless encoding doesn't add the fuzzy halo a JPEG re-save would around text and borders.

How to use it

Add up to 10 .png files, enter a target width (height follows automatically with aspect lock on), choose whether to scale up or down only, then process. Results preview on a checkerboard so you can confirm transparency held.

Supported formats & limitations

Input: .png only, up to 30MB each; output is always PNG, preserving alpha. For photographic PNGs, consider JPG or WebP output via the universal converter — photos shrink far more in those formats.

Common use cases

Standard work for logos going into decks, screenshots resized for documentation, app icons between density buckets, and Discord/OBS overlay assets. Anywhere transparency is the point, this resizer keeps it.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my images processed?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Which input formats does Resize PNG accept?

Common formats are covered: PNG, each up to 30 MB. Paste from the clipboard, drag and drop, or use the select button.

What are the size and batch limits?

Up to 10 images per batch, 30 MB per file, and unlimited runs — no signup, no counters, and no watermark stamped on results.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

Yes — settings include Width, Lock aspect ratio. Each run regenerates the preview, so you can compare options before downloading.
