About the Image Compressor

PixKitApp's free image compressor reduces JPG, PNG and WebP file sizes directly in your browser using Canvas re-encoding. Your photos never leave your device, so compression is instant and completely private. Adjust the quality slider to balance file size against visual fidelity — JPEG and WebP photos typically shrink substantially at 75% quality, and opaque PNGs converted to JPEG can drop far more. Preview the result before downloading to confirm you're happy with it.

How it works

The compressor re-encodes your images through the browser's Canvas engine at the quality level you choose, using modern codecs that discard only detail your eye barely notices. A quality of 70–80% typically cuts JPEG/WebP file size substantially — and converting an opaque PNG to JPEG can save far more — while keeping photos fully shareable.

How to use it

Drop in up to 10 JPG, PNG or WebP files, slide the quality control (or leave the sensible default), optionally pick a different output format, then hit Process. You'll see the new size next to each result before you download them individually or as one ZIP.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .jpeg, .png and .webp up to 30MB each, 10 files per batch. PNG graphics with flat colors compress harder than photographs. Re-compressing an already compressed JPG can soften fine texture, so keep the original for future edits.

Common use cases

Perfect before emailing photos, uploading to marketplace listings that cap file size, or speeding up a slow blog. Web developers use it to hit Core Web Vitals image budgets; students use it to squeeze scans under portal upload limits.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Compression runs 100% in your browser using the Canvas API. Images never leave your device.

How much smaller will my image get?

It depends on the image. JPEG and WebP photos re-encoded at 75% quality typically shrink substantially; converting an opaque PNG to JPEG often saves even more. Already-compressed or flat graphics may shrink less. The result card shows your exact saving before you download.

Can I compress multiple images at once?

Yes — drop up to 10 images and compress them in one batch, then download all as a ZIP.
