About the Resize JPG

A JPG-focused resizer that pairs dimension changes with quality control — resize a 6000px camera photo to 1600px at quality 85 and it lands around 400KB, ready for the web or email.

How it works

Your JPG is decoded, scaled with multi-step resampling (cleaner than one big downscale), and re-encoded with a quality slider under your control. Because resizing and encoding happen in one pass, you avoid the double-generation softening that comes from resizing in one app and compressing in another.

How to use it

Drop up to 10 .jpg files, set the target width with aspect lock handling the height, adjust quality if needed, then process. Results report new dimensions and sizes; download separately or as a ZIP.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg and .jpeg up to 30MB per file, 10 per batch; output is JPEG. Resizing doesn't remove EXIF by default unless the compression option says so — check the metadata tools if privacy of GPS data matters.

Common use cases

The everyday pick for camera photos heading to blogs, marketplaces, email and family chats. Batch mode makes quick work of a whole shoot that needs to be 'half size and under 200KB each'.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server when I use Resize JPG?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Which file types are supported?

JPG files up to 30 MB each are accepted. Drop in one file or a whole batch (paste and drag also work), check the preview, and export in the format shown at the download step.

How many images can I process at once?

There are no artificial limits: use it as often as you like, free. Practical caps are 30 MB per image and 10 files per batch, and outputs stay watermark-free.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

The controls cover Width, JPEG quality. Nothing is baked in until you press the action button, and every run gives you a fresh preview to check.
