About the Color Picker

A precision eyedropper for images: hover and click anywhere to capture the exact pixel color as HEX, RGB and HSL — ready to paste into CSS, Figma or your brand guide. Runs fully on-device, so even confidential designs can be sampled safely.

How it works

Your image loads onto a zoomable canvas; every click samples the exact pixel under the cursor through the canvas API and reports it as HEX, RGB and HSL simultaneously. A magnifier loupe shows the neighborhood so you can hit the precise pixel between anti-aliased edges.

How to use it

Drop one image, move the cursor (or finger) until the loupe centers the pixel you want, and click to lock the color. Copy any of the three formats with one tap and grab a swatch if you need it saved.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB; single-image sessions. Zoom-dependent sampling means JPEG blur around edges can mislead — zoom in fully to sample the true pixel, or use PNG sources for precision work.

Common use cases

Pulling brand colors from a client's screenshot, matching a color from a photo for CSS, sampling design references, and identifying 'what color is that exactly?' in any image — the everyday eyedropper for people without Photoshop.

Frequently asked questions

How private is Color Picker?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Which file types are supported?

JPG, PNG or WEBP files up to 30 MB each are accepted. Drop a single file in (paste and drag also work), check the preview, and export in the format shown at the download step.

How many images can I process at once?

There are no artificial limits: use it as often as you like, free. The practical cap is 30 MB per image, and outputs stay watermark-free.

How do I copy a color from an image?

Open your image, then click anywhere on it to sample that exact pixel. The color appears as HEX, RGB and HSL codes with one-click copy buttons, so you can paste it straight into CSS, design software or a brand guide.
