About the Crop 4:3

4:3 is the classic camera and print ratio — still the standard for photo albums, school projects and PowerPoint slides. The crop is centered; choose an anchor to bias toward the top or bottom.

How it works

A pure pixel crop: the largest 4:3 rectangle is located inside your image and sliced out without resampling, so sharpness is identical to the original. The anchor control nudges the window up or down — handy for portraits where the head must stay in frame after the trim.

How to use it

Add up to 10 images, pick top, center or bottom anchoring, choose output format and quality, and process. Results preview immediately; download individually or as a batch ZIP.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB each, 10 per run. Panoramic sources give up a lot of width at 4:3; if that hurts, the free-form interactive cropper preserves more of your own framing choice.

Common use cases

Print lab submissions (many standard print sizes are 4:3), PowerPoint and Keynote slide imagery, old-school TV-shaped frames, and family album pages where the classic ratio still rules the layout.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server when I use Crop 4:3?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

What kind of image files work with this tool?

JPG, PNG or WEBP inputs are supported, up to 30 MB per file. For exotic formats, convert them first with one of the converter tools, then come back.

What are the size and batch limits?

You can queue 10 files per run, each up to 30 MB. Results download individually or bundled as a single ZIP.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

The controls cover Vertical anchor, Output format. Nothing is baked in until you press the action button, and every run gives you a fresh preview to check.
