About the Crop 16:9

16:9 is the universal widescreen ratio — YouTube thumbnails, TV frames, presentation slides. This cropper extracts the best 16:9 window from any photo. The crop is centered; choose an anchor to bias toward the top or bottom.

How it works

The tool finds the largest 16:9 rectangle inside your image and cuts it with zero resampling, so pixels remain exactly as captured. An anchor setting shifts the window toward the top (landscapes and skies), center (balanced default) or bottom (products and text near the floor of the frame).

How to use it

Add up to 10 images, choose the anchor, optionally set output format and quality, and process. Every crop previews in place; grab files individually or as one ZIP for the batch.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB each, 10 per run. A 4:3 or square source loses substantial height at 16:9 — if the subject is off-center, switch the anchor or use the interactive cropper for manual framing.

Common use cases

YouTube thumbnails and channel art, presentation slides that fill a screen, video stills, blog headers with a cinematic feel — anywhere a widescreen rectangle is the canvas. Batch mode uniformizes a whole set of stills for a video project.
