About the Add Text to Image

A flexible text tool for labels, notes, prices and annotations. Multi-line support, a rounded background pill for readability on busy photos, and a 9-position grid — everything rendered crisply on canvas, then exported in your chosen format.

How it works

The tool renders your text on a canvas layer over the image with control over size, color, bold weight, one of nine positions and multi-line input — plus an optional rounded background pill with its own color and opacity, which keeps text readable over busy photos.

How to use it

Drop one image, type your text (multi-line supported), style it — size, weight, color — choose a position, and enable the background pill if the photo is busy. Process, preview, download.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB; single-image editing. Very long text wraps within the canvas; test the preview at full zoom if legibility matters. The pill background composites behind every line.

Common use cases

Labeling product photos with prices, annotating screenshots for documentation and bug reports, creating quick social announcements, adding location or name tags to shared photos, and marking images for review workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server when I use Add Text to Image?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Can it open JPG, PNG and WebP files?

The common formats are covered — JPG, PNG or WEBP, each up to 30 MB. One photo is processed per run.

How many images can I process at once?

Files can be up to 30 MB each, one per run. There's no account, no daily quota and no watermark — process as many images as you need, one after another.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

The controls cover Text (line breaks allowed), Font size and 6 more controls. Nothing is baked in until you press the action button, and every run gives you a fresh preview to check.
