About the Text Watermark

A visible watermark is the simplest deterrent against unauthorized use. Place your name, brand or © notice anywhere on the image with full control of size, opacity, color and angle — the shadow option keeps it readable on any background. Batch up to 10 photos per run.

How it works

The tool composites your text over each image on a canvas layer — you control the string, size, color, opacity, one of nine anchor positions and a rotation angle, plus an optional drop shadow for legibility on busy backgrounds. Everything renders locally, so unpublished work-in-progress never leaves your machine.

How to use it

Drop up to 10 images, type your watermark text, set size and opacity (15–30% reads professional), pick a position and rotation, then process. Preview each result and download individually or as a ZIP.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB each, 10 per batch. Watermarks bake into the pixels permanently — keep clean originals. Dark watermarks need lighter opacity on dark photos; the shadow toggle helps on mixed-tone images.

Common use cases

Signing photography before client delivery, marking proofs and drafts, branding marketplace photos, and tagging educational material. Batch mode stamps a whole shoot consistently in a single pass.

Frequently asked questions

Can watermarks be removed?

Visible watermarks can be cropped or edited out, but they raise the effort bar significantly. For stronger protection, combine with our Tiled Watermark.

Which opacity works best?

15–30% is the sweet spot for most photos: visible enough to discourage theft, subtle enough not to spoil the image. Go stronger (40–60%) for proof sheets and previews where protection matters more than looks.

Which position should I choose for a watermark?

Bottom-right or top-left are the least intrusive and the most common. Center placement offers the strongest protection because it can't be cropped out — but it's also the most visible on the image itself.
