About the Date Watermark

Field engineers, inspectors and insurance assessors need visible timestamps. This tool stamps any date — defaults to today — in a compact format that doesn't hide your subject, with shadow support for readability on any background.

How it works

The tool composites a date string onto each photo — today's date by default, or any custom date you type — styled with your size, color, opacity and one of nine positions, with an optional drop shadow. It recreates the film-era timestamp for modern documentation needs.

How to use it

Drop up to 10 images, set or override the date, adjust size and position (bottom corners are conventional), and process. Preview each result, then download individually or as a ZIP.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB each, 10 per batch. The stamp is pixels, not metadata — it survives every re-upload, screenshot and crop, which is precisely why documentation workflows prefer it over EXIF dates.

Common use cases

Timestamping worksite progress photos, inspection and field-service records, delivery and condition documentation, insurance claim evidence, and family archive prints where the date is part of the memory.

Frequently asked questions

How private is Date Watermark?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Which file types are supported?

JPG, PNG or WEBP files up to 30 MB each are accepted. Drop in one file or a whole batch (paste and drag also work), check the preview, and export in the format shown at the download step.

How many images can I process at once?

There are no artificial limits: use it as often as you like, free. Practical caps are 30 MB per image and 10 files per batch, and outputs stay watermark-free.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

You can adjust Custom date (blank = today), Text size and 4 more controls. Results are previewed after processing, so tweak values and re-run until the output looks right.
