About the Image Optimizer

This optimizer combines the two biggest wins — dimension capping and quality tuning — into one click. Oversized 4000px camera photos become web-ready 1920px WebP files at a fraction of the weight, ready for fast page loads.

How it works

This optimizer chains two operations: it scales any image whose longest edge exceeds your max-dimension setting using high-quality multi-step resampling, then re-encodes the result at your chosen quality and format. Resizing first is the real win — a 6000px photo brought to 1920px loses most of its weight before compression even starts.

How to use it

Drop up to 10 images, set the longest allowed edge (1920px is a great default), pick a quality level and output format, then run. Each result shows new dimensions and size; download individually or as a ZIP archive.

Supported formats & limitations

Accepts .jpg, .png and .webp up to 30MB per file, 10 per batch, with WebP, JPEG or PNG output. Images smaller than your max dimension are only re-encoded, never upscaled, so their resolution is safe.

Common use cases

The one-stop pre-publish step for blogs, CMS uploads, and site-speed projects. Marketing teams standardize entire asset folders to one pipeline; freelancers hand clients web-ready files straight from the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server when I use Image Optimizer?

Everything runs locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your picture never leaves your machine — there is no upload step at all, so processing is as private as working in an offline editor.

Can it open JPG, PNG and WebP files?

The common formats are covered — JPG, PNG or WEBP, each up to 30 MB. Queue them one batch at a time.

How many images can I process at once?

Batch runs take up to 10 files at once (30 MB each). There's no account, no daily quota and no watermark — process as many batches as you need.

Can I fine-tune the result before downloading?

The controls cover Max dimension (longest side), Quality, Output format. Nothing is baked in until you press the action button, and every run gives you a fresh preview to check.
